Hi there welcome to Greensat
Did you try updating your strong Reciever ? And on the course of doing that you fried your receiver or did your recorder start auto upgrading. . if so then your on the right place.
Without much talk there are basically three ways to bring back your dead receiver to life
Firstly but not recommended way is to change the IC*** these should be done only by a trusted technician

Second is the Receiver to receiver software transfer - these is possible with the help of a rs323 cable and they are of two types
1-Serial to serial port
2-USB to serial port

=>>You need to find A working reciever that of the same model with the one dead

=>>Connect the both receivers using threce
ON
you're using USB to serial port make sure you plug the USB port on the working receiver and the serial on the dead receiver)

==>After connecting the both receivers plug the dead receiver and power on. . Then navigate to settings on the working receiver . . Move to data transfer select any firmware and press OK

=>> Wait until completion. . .After that you can now reboot the receiver

THIRDLY IS THE PC TO RECEIVER TRANSFER
First download the PC software from the URL http://www.sat-universe.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=55681&d=1209302785
(Copy and paste on browser)
Make sure your PC has serial port for rs323 cable or USB to serial will work. . .

Make sure you have the latest patch or SW on your PC . . . Once you have everything in order next is to follow the procedures carefullycarefully

=>> Power ON your Receiver

=>>Connect your rs323 cable from your PC to Receiver

=>>Open the STB TOOLS you installed on your PC

=>>Select Auto detect so that it can detect the Com port of your Receiver and make Your receiver is ON

=>>Click on patch and select the patch you downloaded for your respective Receiver
N/B it must be in .stb format

=>>Connect and wait for complete transfer

=>>After successful transfer your receiver will reboot and come back to life

Wish you the best
